Essential Oils and Skin Care
The use of essential and carrier oils in your skin care regimen imparts nutrients to the deeper layers where petroleum products do not reach.
Why spend money on vitamin content if a label lists mineral oil as one of its ingredients? It creates a barrier that blocks the absorption you hope you are paying for! Look for oils like jojoba, grape seed, avocado, hemp seed, apricot, olive, sesame....do you see a pattern? Each oil has a different weight so choose based on your skin's needs and age.

Skin Care Tips:
Oily Skin
The main key to keeping acne at bay is to cleanse the skin at least 3 times a day. After each cleansing, tone your skin with apple cider vinegar and water...50% each. Physical exfoliation can be preferrable to chemical methods because harsh chemicals can trigger more oil production.
Once your skin is cleansed, grape seed oil, apricot oil, or any of the lighter carrier or base oils can be applied as your basic moisturizer. Start with a small amount and work up to what feels comfortable and has the best result. When you feel more comfortable, start exploring essential oils like frankincense, tea-tree, cypress or chamomile to add their reputed benefits, which can be found online or in books that focus on herbs, aromatherapy, or natural skin care.
